Absolutely the best beef in Western Colorado! We have stopped buying from stores and only purchase our beef from Wrich Ranches. The cattle there are cared for very well, and the owners are wonderful people! We highly recommend Wrich Ranches!.
Eighth = 3 to 5 cu. ft.
Quarter = 5 to 7 cu. ft.
Half = 8 to 10 cu. ft.
Whole = 18 to 20 cu. ft.
Eighth ~ 40-50 lbs.
Quarter ~ 90-105 lbs.
Half ~ 180-210 lbs.
Whole ~ 360-400 lbs.
General rule is up to 12 months in a freezer. The USDA states you can keep food in a freezer almost indefinitely. You can also safely refreeze slabs of meat taken out of the freezer, but not used.
